Happy New Year!
We start off 2012 by first thanking the many organizations and individuals who support the Toigo Foundation. With your engagement, financial contributions and volunteerism, we are able to further advance the mission of Toigo in serving nearly 1000 individuals who have participated in this program as “Toigo Fellows”.
- 2011 was a hallmark year for Toigo with the official launch of the Toigo Institute and selection of our largest MBA class of Toigo Fellows. Other milestones for 2011 include:
- Hosted our 10th Annual Gala on June 12th featuring Lifetime of Leadership Honoree General Colin L. Powell, USA (Ret). Join us for what continues to be the finance industry’s marquee event - Thursday June 14, 2012 in New York City. Click here for pricing and details.
- Supporting the entrepreneurial aspirations of our Alumni by awarding two Bridge to Business grants totaling $200,000 to Alumni launching investment-focused business ventures.
- Providing career coaching and job search facilitation to more than 200 Alumni and initiated the return of Angel Stewart as Director of Talent Management—a dedicated resource for employment services to firms and Alumni.
- Introducing our Industry Insight speaker series featuring provocative investment topics and drawing the perspectives of prominent institutional investors, managers and Toigo Alumni.
- Expanding the Private Equity post MBA Fellowship program to place three graduating MBAs in 2011 with participating firms: The Carlyle Group, Vista Equity Partners, and Palladium Equity Partners. Apollo Management joined in 2011 as a hosting organization for the 2012 program.
- Introduced All A Board our board diversity platform, which currently features more than 250+ candidates.
- Launching our first women’s conference—Groundbreakers—on December 8 in New York City, featuring a powerful lineup of speakers across industries—from finance, to philanthropy, to government and business. Save the date for our 2012 Groundbreakers Summit—December 13th in New York City at the Time Warner Center.
- Highlighting the continuing professional ascent of Toigo Alumni as Managing Directors of prominent investment firms, top business leaders within Finance and allied industries, successful entrepreneurs and emerging philanthropists. This distinction is the hallmark of Toigo’s work and fuels our efforts to serve this population to achieve even greater heights in the future.
